Foreigners Helping Mindanao Earthquake Victims
Please donate to help with relief efforts of the Mindanao Earthquakes https://www.redcross.org.ph/
According to an article written in 2012, more than 3.5 million foreigners, both visitors and expatriates entered the Philippines according to the Bureau of Immigration. Imagine if each foreigner or visitor gave P50/$1. How many lives could we help? How many communities could we save? Please consider making a small donation to your local Red Cross.
With the recent release of @becomingfilipino videos of the devastation and realities of the earthquakes that recently rocked the southern mindanao area (https://youtu.be/lchQTIdquTk), I was watching and wishing we could be there too to help out the locals in any way. We really appreciate what Kyle (Kulas) is doing with the people by reporting, volunteering, and always lifting spirits of anyone he meets.
After watching his reports, it inspired us to head to the local Red Cross office here in Butuan City. We set out in the morning and made our donation, and it made us feel good knowing that our small donation could help someone or a family out with much needed assistance.
I feel that being a guest here in the Philippines and making my home in Mindanao, anything we can do to make someone else's lives better is so worth it after a natural disaster such as the Mindanao earthquakes.
