VISIT Sacred Monkey Forest | UBUD, BALI

If and when you go to Bali, Indonesia, make sure the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud is part of your itinerary. I could have spent the whole day there interacting with the roaming monkeys all over the park. The setting is amazing in a tropical forest of massive trees and sculptures abound. There are three temples within the forest which date back to the 14th century. 

Our visit was again part of a KLOOK tour (Ubud Highlights Sightseeing Shuttle) which included a stop to the Sacred Monkey Forest. The tour cost was $7.45 USD per person and included a whole day of sites in UBUD. We had to pay our own admissions and lunch, but it was just the two of us on this tour (it was advertised as shared shuttle).

Like many boys growing up, I had always been fascinated with monkeys. I have always wanted to interact and to hold one, and by visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, my dreams became reality.
