Building a Beach House in the Philippines Part 12

Happy New Year! It's been awhile since we've done an update, so this one may seem a little long, but we do have some BONUS New Year's footage included, so pop some popcorn and enjoy the update!

The first floor is complete for now. Cement has been poured and beams are secure. It took about 2 days to complete the cement project.

We ran some electrical... mostly temporary. We wanted to get some lights installed before the New Year's eve party, so basically it's an extended extension cord that can be unplugged into our neighbor's home when we need power. In the future, we may end up getting our own electric, but for now this is working out just fine.

We got new stairs! We both knew the previous ones were way too steep, so they have been re-done and are now safer. We have met with a bamboo specialist and he is designing a railing to make them even safer. We added a hatch at the top of the stairs for safety and security which can be locked from bottom or top.

We hope to have our budget up either through a YouTube video or just a blog post on our website (http://www.lumpialife.com). But either way, Marilou has been tasked with putting the total budget together so we can share with you the total cost of our beach house here in the Philippines.
