Our $200 Month House Rental (TOUR) | PHILIPPINES
A month before Maria and I moved here in the Philippines in August of last year, we already rented this house a month in advance because we wanted a house right away when we arrived here. We paid for the month of July, and two more months in advance, a total of three months. Our tenat is my wife's best friend's mother. In fact, Maria had been here many times before since she was a kid. Therefore, the house, the street, and the people around here are familiar to her.
Our landlord lives around the corner in a new house, the reason why this house has been unoccupied for awhile before we came. That being said, it has become somewhat delapidated with termites, rat-infestations, etc. We have had a few repairs around this house, got rid of rats, and other insects, and try to make it as clean as possible each day.
It's not a perfect house, but it's livable - just something a roof over our heads and so we are grateful for that blessing. It is nothing fancy, and not comparable to typical houses in the states, but we can't complain because this is already good for us. Also, you can't beat the price! I hope you enjoy the house tour!
A long overdue house tour of our home here in Butuan City, Philippines. We pay $200 USD or ₱10000 per month. It may not be much, but we're OK with it, and we've been able to live well with a roof over our head.
