Quick Getaway to Vancouver, B.C. CANADA 🇨🇦 | Our Anniversary
Before we make our long journey back to the Philippines, we needed to check another country off of Marilou's list!
Hello Canada! 🇨🇦
We chose Vancouver, Canada to celebrate our 13th Year Wedding Anniversary for a change. Marilou wanted to go to another country and since Vancouver, Canada is the closest from Washington to travel by land, plus it has been in her bucket list to visit there, so we thought this time was the best time for her to tick that list off before we go back to the Philippines soon. I was born and raised in Washington so I have been to Canada a few times before when I was younger.
It was just a quick trip so we wanted to make the most out of it. The first day was pouring the whole time so we got soaked while walking around town and wasn’t really minding the rain. There was Jollibee right off the street from where we stayed but we opted not to eat there since there was a long queue, and the fact that this chain food will just be everywhere once we get to the Philippines. The next day, on our anniversary, we swung by one of the tourist’s go-to places, Lynn Canyon Park where a long suspension bridge and magnificent water falls was a good treat for the eyes. The weather was sunny and somewhat warmed this time, and so there were more goers, but it wasn’t that bad. From there, we went to the famous Stanley Park. Both Lynn Canyon Park and Stanley Park have parking fees ($4.99 CAD for 1.5 hrs. and $7.50CAD for 2 hours but we added another hour). It was a must-see beautiful park. The next day, we had to head back to Washington to see the family once again and it might take some time again to see them again.
